Es gibt sie noch, die Triathlonrennen mit Charme. An der Golden Bay in Malra fand im schönen Septemberwochenende die nachgeholte Veranstaltung des XTERRA Malta statt, wo die Athleten zum Crosstriathlon herausgefordert wurden. Die kürzere Sprintdistanz mit 0.75 km Schwimmen, 15 km MTB und 5.5 km Trail Run, oder gleich auf der Mitteldistanz 1.5 km Swim, 30 km MTB, 11 km Trail Run. Wie auf XTERRA Veranstaltungen meist üblich, wurden auch separate Trailruns angeboten, die die gesamte Veranstaltung abrunden.
Im Rennen des XTERRA in der Elitewertung konnten sich der Franzose ARTHUR SERRIERES und die Landsfrau MORGANE RIOU den Sieg holen.
