Williamsburg, Virginia is home to famous Colonial Williamsburg, the nation’s largest living history museum that introduces visitors to life in 18th century America. The historic Jamestown Island and Yorktown Battlefield are nearby, earning Williamsburg the nickname of the “Historic Triangle.” Visitors may also jump into modern times with a visit to Busch Gardens Williamsburg, which has over 350 acres of roller coasters, water parks, rides and attractions. Laser tag, haunted dinner theatres, bowling alleys and more are a part of the area, where there really is something for everyone.

You will be swimming a point to point swim in Williamsburg. The swim will be an in water start. You will be swimming in a rectangle formation. There will be orange or red buoys marking the turning points.

After leaving Jamestown Beach Park, Olympic athletes will head North to Centerville Rd and take a left at Jolly Pond Rd. Jolly Pond Rd makes a circle and meets back up with Centerville Rd after approximately 7-miles. This loop has a fast downhill to start and then climbs back up for the remaining 4-miles. Cyclists take a Rt on Centerville to go back to the first Jolly Pond Rd entrance and do the loop a second time. Once meeting back up with Centerville, cyclists will take LEFT onto Centerville and RIGHT onto Opportunity Way which will lead them to Warhill Sports Complex and T2.

The Half bike course is flat flat flat with quiet roads for the first 25-miles. After crossing the tracks, cyclist will do a straight 12-mile stretch on Rte 60 before turning at Anderson’s Corner and then onto Forge Rd where the roads get very quiet but continue to be flat. After the turn around at the abandoned Golf Course on Diascund Rd, cyclists will head towards T2 via rolling terrain on Little Creek Dam Rd, Cranston Mill Pond Rd and finally onto Jolly Pond Rd. The last 5-miles are a flat. comfortable ride into T2.

This flat run is a combination of on and off road but entirely inside the Warhill Sports Complex. There will be an aid station approximately every mile and porta potties. This is a great spectating course, offering people many opportunities to cheer on their athletes. The Olympic consists of 2 loops while the half consists of 4 loops. The first 2-miles are on the WISC trail system which is a wide, rolling hardpack trail, a favorite running location for local runners including the Nationally ranked William&Mary Cross Country team. The final mile-plus of the loop is a slight uphill on an asphalt running path leading back up to T2 and Wanner Stadium. The multi-loop course will give spectators ample opportunities to cheer on their favorite athletes.
