The IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship begins a global rotation in 2014 with Mont-Tremblant, Quebec as the first IRONMAN World Championship venue outside the United States. Created in 2006, the championship race in the global IRONMAN 70.3 Series was initially held in Clearwater, Fla. until 2011. More than 1,800 domestic and international competitors will earn the right to compete in the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship by qualifying at an IRONMAN 70.3 event around the world.

In just two years, IRONMAN 70.3 Mont-Tremblant has become one of the world's most popular IRONMAN 70.3 events thanks to its scenic course and family-friendly activities. Visitors to Mont-Tremblant find an area full of entertainment and recreational options. The pedestrian layout makes the Tremblant Resort inviting and accessible, and boutiques, bistros and restaurants can all be found within walking distance of the IRONMAN Village. Once you've parked your car you won't need it again for the rest of the week: activities such as mini golf, water games and a Kids’ Club are all conveniently located within the Tremblant Resort. Additionally, the beach, transition area and bike and run courses are centrally located and easily accessible
