Challenge Salvador, Bahia

One of the greatest triathlon competitions series in the world, the Challenge Family, is now approaching Salvador, the capital of Bahia. The new race, and its usual side events for the entire family, will take place at the Itapua area. The event, which is totally supported by the local government by means of the turism company of Salvador (Saultur), the Municipal Secretary of Sports and Leisure (Semtel), and the Triathlon Federation of Bahia (FebaTri), reinforces the sport calendar of the city, and makes Salvador an important destination of sports turism in Brazil.

In Brazil, Challenge Family has been organizing events for three years, with its triathlon series and street run races. The organizations expects to receive a number of a thousand athletes, from at least 10 different countries such as Italy, EUA, Germany and Argentina.

The half distance triathlon is the main event, but as in the other races of Challenge Family in Brazil there are other side events happening in the four days of Challenge Salvador that are dedicated for women, children and for triathlete newbies.
