Schwimmen: Athletes head straight into the crystal-clear water at Ambrela Verudela beach, swimming in a protected coastal bay that has been awarded with a "blue flag," recognition for very clean beaches and clear blue sea water. Rad: After leaving the beautiful crystal-clear water at Ambrela Verudela beach, athletes head out on a very fast one-loop bike course that passes through several small picturesque villages, old Cypress lined avenues and inland vineyards. The course then heads back to the harbor of Pula in front of the amphitheatre. Running 21.1 km through the old town of Pula: the flat, three-lap run course starts through the 3,000-year-old town of Pula, passing by many attractions such as the Augustus temple, the triumphal arc and the sixth largest amphitheatre in the world.
