After six years as part of the XTERRA America Tour (a points series race), the XTERRA Guam is now a full-fledged 'Championship' event with pro prize purse.
The 1.5 km swim takes place in the waters of the Port Authority Beach in Piti. There will be two 750m loops. The 31.5 km bike course begins in Piti and climbs up Nimitz Hill, through the technical terrain of Mt. Alutom then winds its way back via Mannengon Hills. Undoubtedly the highlight of the XTERRA Guam course, the 8.2 km trail run has quad burning climbs, slippery water falls and waist-high jungle river sections. If you're not breathing too hard, you can hear the bamboo trees creaking in the jungle.
